I have entered all my races very much for my own personal satisfaction. However, it would have been daft to have thrown away the opportunity to raise some money for Charity in the process.

Marathon des Sables 2000

With the help of both Brecon Round Table and Gower Round Table we raised in the region of £9,000 for testicular cancer awareness in Wales. I had prior to going to the Sahara hoped to raise £10,000 but I now know how much that is. I am indebted to the very generous support I have received.

I was amazed by how many families have been affected by Testicular cancer. The number of people how sponsored me who had either themselves, or their brother or father or uncle etc been affected by testicular cancer was incredible. I am no expert on this matter - but it is quite clearly obvious that this form of cancer is far far more prevalent than I could ever have imagined.

Again with the help of Brecon Round Table I raised in excess of £2000 for various local causes.

Yukon Arctic Ultra 300 - 2003

With the help of the local association, I helped raise in excess of £3,500 for Cancer Research. This is a cause close to my heart for personal reasons and subsequent talks that I have done and will do in the future will be donated to this cause.
