Sponsorship
This sport isn't cheap I would guess on average that each
race so far has cost in the region of £2,000 a time. I
have been fortunate that for the first 2 races I was sponsored
for the race (separate from any charity sponsorship) and this
enabled me to get a vast amount of the kit required for both
Winter and Desert races.
However, I would dearly love to have further sponsorship either
monetary or equipment to do more races.
What can I offer a good sponsor
.
Where do I start?
- I am happy to promote any company in whatever form is required (within
reason for instance I wouldn't run naked down Kensington
high St but most things considered)
- I have been asked to give talks to a considerable number
of groups over the years and I believe such talks have been
well received. If a company would like me to talk from a motivational
point of view to their employees or purely out of interest
I would be happy to oblige. It is amazing how inspirational
the idea of a little fat Welshman competing in these types
of races can be.
- Most of the races I participate in require considerable clothing
and other equipment and any offers of free or subsidised kit
(preferable free) would be very welcome and I in return will
promote and present such kit in the most positive of light
to both my fellow racers and to the public in general.
- I have in the past few years received quite a significant
amount of press, TV and radio coverage. To this end I have
now built up quite a few contacts all of which I know are
interested in what I am achieving and I am sure would be pleased
to continue with this interest. I am sure I don't need to explain
how this might help you.
So come on you big boys and girls give me the chance to show
what a little man like me can do with the help of a wonderful
company like yours. Mr Branson, Mr Abromvich, Miss Thompson,
et al you know it makes sense, think what a household name
like mine can do for your business.
Please do contact me. martin@littlefatwelshman.com
